Dear Camp Partner,
The world and times in which we live are unprecedented in many, many ways. The crisis among today's teens has never been experienced by any generation. The cost of caring for them is skyrocketing. The availability of dollars seems to be dwindling. But thanks be to God—He is still on the throne! The need for your prayers and involvement at Camp Tracey has never been greater and we ask you to pray, not only for the students but for the staff and for the decision making process on a day-by-day basis.
The students are in summer school two days per week. The Lord has sent enough rain to grow an abundance of hay but so much rain that it prohibits baling it. It seems if it is wet enough to grow it, it is too wet to bale it and if it is dry enough to bale it, it is too dry to grow it!
Paul Trotter, the student you have prayed for with the cancer, has reached his 18th birthday and is no longer a resident at CT. He has a job and is attending church. Please continue to pray for God to take care of him physically, mentally and spiritually.
Brother & Mrs. Jeff Kresch have come aboard as new dorm parents at the boys' dorm. Brother & Mrs. Peck have moved to Tennessee to spend their golden years around family. Brother Peck is 82 years old and "Miss" Loretta—well, I'm not that brave! Keep praying for God's blessing and guidance and thank you for standing with us.

MEANWHILE, DOWN ON THE FARM
We have had a great start in our hay production this summer! It sure does provide a wonderful avenue to sweat and to build muscles! Our garden suffered a late freeze in March, blistering winds, and extreme amounts of rain, causing it to not yield like it should. However, we praise the Lord for the harvest that we did get.
Our sawmill has proven to be a real blessing, providing us material for building fences, gates, carts and trailer floors. We praise God for it. We praise God for your continued support and prayers.
Brother Bruce
We told you in an earlier issue that we had our first pregnant students at CT. Natalee is a 20 year old single mother. Her beautiful one month old daughter is named Aliciya. Natalee is working at CT as junior staff and says, "I accepted Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior at age 14, when I was at CT as a student. While being saved, I have to admit that the last couple of years have been very challenging for me and very rough. But throughout all my hardships I have learned that the Lord is true and that He will never leave me nor forsake me. I have not only learned how to succeed in life but also how to become a stronger person in the Lord! Proverbs 3:5-6 clearly states, "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not to thy own understanding; in all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy paths."
Veronica graduated this past June and has relocated to Wisconsin with family. She writes:
It was an honor to be given the privilege to be at CT. God did save my life. The depression I was feeling right after my dad remarried was leading me into the wrong train of thought. I was always trying to make the worst of things because I did not agree with the way things went. But CT has taught me the MOST important lessons of life. They are all backed up by scripture and very vital! Now I look at situations differently, knowing God will work them out as long as I obey Him. I think my main weakness is my patience with having to deal with other people who don't act the way I think they should. I have to remember that I did not always act the way I should before I got saved. I just want to thank all of you at CT for always being there for me. I will keep in touch and I love you.
The new school year starts August 18. Any help with school supplies—pencils, notebook paper, erasers, folders—would be greatly appreciated. Packages may be mailed to the church address. The students have remained in the classroom two days per week throughout the summer but pray as the year starts back full time and we get back in the groove.
In September, 2005, I started my bachelor degree in biblical studies which I completed in March, 2006. I did not feel called to preach but to teach. I started doing Sunday school classes at the church, sermons on occasional Sunday evenings and nursing home services once every other month.
In May, 2008, God took our family to the valley of Camp Tracey through our daughter Kirsten. It was one of the toughest decisions our family has faced, being 800 miles away from our child. We faithfully visited. In October, 2008, God started pulling on my heart to become staff at CT. My live was changed by the fact that staff members at CT not only said it but did it and lived it. Our first experience at Harvest Baptist was God's intervention. It was like walking into our church back home! Preacher McCormick teaches the whole counsel of God and explains things so anyone can understand it. We never told anyone about our desire to be at CT. At JUBILEE 2009 God confirmed our calling when Preacher confronted us with the question, "Have you ever considered working here?" I told him yes but that God would have to open some doors. His reply was "Which one do you want me to open?" My wife Michele felt God tugging on her heart to be involved with the ministry.
In February, 2009, we sent our letter of intent to Preacher. We faced obstacles such as the necessity to sell our house, my wife to find a full time job, and an additional income for me in order to meet our current needs. With many phone calls and many prayers, God brought us to CT in June of 2009 as the boys' dorm parents. Recently thanks to the grace of God, our first hurdle was overcome when our house sold six days after going on the market! Praise God! Please continue to pray so my family can soon join me at the Camp. Our present expected settlement date is mid-August.
We wish to thank everyone for their prayers, support and hospitality since my arrival at CT and Harvest Baptist. I look forward to meeting more of you and to serving with you for the glory of God. Preacher McCormick says there is still hope for me because I'm a northerner who likes grits! He says "God can take care of the rest!"
Please pray for the staff of CT that God gives us the wisdom to mold the lives of those we come in contact with on a daily basis so that our lights can shine in the dark world in which we live.
