Dear Pastor and Church, October 2009
Furlough has been refreshing and we were able to spend our first month visiting family and friends.
We traveled the month of August as a family visiting supporting Churches in Florida and had a blessed time. As of September 1st though, I left my family in Florida and headed for the West. I have been in Arizona and Colorado visiting supporting, as well as new Churches. It will have been two months and more than 10,000 miles without my family before I return home to St. Petersburg, FL in late October!
Prayer needs Please pray for Jolanta who has recently accepted Christ as her Savior in our Church in Lithuania. Also pray for her young daughter Izabele as well.
I would also ask prayer for Sandra, my Lithuanian daughter-in-law, she just found out that Eva and I are going to be grandparents for the first time!
Also please pray that I will fill my calendar up with meetings and will be able to get additional support. Times are tough, but our God is (tougher) able.
Please pray for our Lithuanian church's Mission's conference coming up soon, that our folks would be encouraged in their Faith Promise Mission's giving this year. We support 3 missionary families ourselves as a church and would like to increase that number each year.
And continue praying for my family that the Lord's will would be accomplished in all of their lives, for Eva, Joshua and Sandra, Daniel, Jacob, Jordan, Benjamin, Jonathan, Timothy, Micah, Esther, and Elijah!
Thank you for your prayer support and faithful giving these many years,
Your Missionaries to Lithuania, Doug, Eva and children! |
