Missionary Letter

 Dear Praying Friends,                                                                                                               May 2010

The last few months have been very busy and full of victories for our family and church. On March 31,  we drove to the Alaska border, turned around and entered Canada as a permanent resident. This process started in 2007 when we began collecting the required information and filling out pages of applications. What a victory to sign in the green box and have the immigration officer smile and say welcome to your new home.

In April we had our missions conference along with First Bible Baptist Church in Inuvik. Bro. Gary Forney was the preacher for the week and challenged all for worldwide missions. Our church in Aklavik had an increase in both the amount promised and the number of people being involved.

This month we had a three men travel up to replace the roof on our church building. We have had a few blizzards and lost many shingles over the last year. Bro. Roger Chastain and his son Aaron from Jacksonville, Florida and Pastor Dennis Schaffer from Denham Springs, Louisiana were here for a week and were a great encouragement to our family and church. Pastor Steve Donley and Clinton Gordon also came over from Inuvik to help. With 24 hours of sunlight the work was finished quickly allowing for some time to go out on the land with some of the men from Aklavik also.

On June 17, we will begin our long drive back to the states for our furlough. Our schedule is almost full for the time we will be traveling, with just a couple of services left to schedule. This will be the first time our kids have seen their grandparents in 4 years. Along with the furlough, we will also be meeting a young lady from our church in Aklavik in Jacksonville to help her get started in Bible College. Our son Matthew will also be starting Bible College in Canada in September.

The Lord has opened the door for a young couple from the First Bible Baptist Church in Inuvik to come and live in our house and hold services while we travel. Shane and Sandy Gordon graduated Bible College a couple of years ago and are preparing for Arctic ministry under Pastor Donley. They will move to Aklavik in late September. Until then the church in Inuvik will be filling the pulpit and holding services.

We are so thankful for your faithful prayers and support. Please pray for our furlough travels and the ministry in Aklavik while we are gone.

In His Service, Larry Noland
