 Dear Pastor and Church Family,

One word that describes the past two months is BUSY!  'Thank you for holding us up in your prayers. We could sense the grace that only God can give especially during the most difficult times. In May and June, we praise the Lord for 16 visitors and 15 souls saved. On Mother's Day, the mothers enjoyed receiving a small gift and being served a lasagna dinner by the men. Dina, a dear lady in our church, brought her daughter as a first-time visitor.

A special thanks to those of you who were praying for us when our family came down with a serious case of the flu. Amy and I were so ill, and our symptoms worsened through the night to the point that without anyone else to care for the children, we felt it necessary to get everyone into the emergency room. Micah was only about eight weeks old, and neither my wife nor I were able to feed him when he cried. After receiving IV fluids and medications, we called a taxi and once home, slowly began to recover. The very next day was our annual Sweetheart Banquet, as this is the Brazilian holiday. More recently we have all come down with bronchitis, and our immune systems are very low at this point. Please pray for renewed health and strength to carry on with all the responsibilities and schedule of the ministry.

We have been truly blessed with five children who love to help! What a blessing to see them live their lives in service to the King! Juan turned six in May, and we celebrated at home with a special dessert and gifts. Also, after church my wife had a cake, and everyone sang to him. In June David turned four, and we did the same for him.

Everyone enjoyed the Harvest Festival in June. A young lady who was here visiting from the states helped teach the Bible story to the children's church and explained the Gospel in English to Edson, a young boy who was a first-time visitor. Our daughter Esther did a great job translating into Portuguese for the children. Edson received Jesus as his Saviour. It was very exciting to have 80 in attendance, 9 visitors come, and 8 people saved during the invitation. Dina's daughter was one who had raised her hand, and when Amy led her and the other ladies to the Lord, Messia was in tears as she listened to the Gospel.

So many have called or come to me with serious family problems recently, and it has been a privilege for me to take them to the one and only solution to all of our struggles, Jesus Christ. Please pray specifically for Sergio and Eliani, as well as Cris and Kate. They are beginning to experience this truth for themselves, and it is a joy to continue counseling and applying the principles God gives us in His Word.

The last week of June, we moved into the living space behind the building where we are now Bolding services. Amy and the kids are reorganizing, since all of our belongings need to somehow fit into a smaller space. Our old living room is now the sanctuary, and our bedroom became the children's church. There are many repairs and construction work yet to be done. I have spent much time on various plumbing, roofing, and other repairs in order to make this area a more functional home for our family of seven. Each day presents yet another urgent project. The church people are happy to be moving inside from the carport, especially as the cold weather is upon us. The children's class is already full, and before they are dismissed to their room, there is barely enough space to move sideways during the time we shake hands and greet everyone. We will need to tear some of the walls down very soon. Please pray for God's continual guidance and provision for these needs. Please continue to pray for laborers to help us continue the work! May God bless you.
